With the support of generous and thoughtful community residents that continue to plan for the future, the Community Foundation of Calhoun County is able to award grant funds to worthy non-profit organizations during two grant cycles per year. In addition, scholarships are available to area students in pursuit of higher education. Currently, most of the funding for grants and scholarships is healthcare related; however, that is changing as more and more people just like you set up funds to benefit various ideals that are important to them. The Community Foundation of Calhoun County has awarded over $4.7 million in grants and scholarships back to the community in which it serves. The Foundation awards over $750,000 per year during two grant cycles and one scholarship period. Over 50 non-profit organizations have received grant funding from the Community Foundation while many students have received various scholarships. This is all a result of a caring community, sound financial management, and public accountability. To learn more, please contact us or continue to search the site. |
