Community Foundation Announces Staff Changes
October 17, 2008: The Community Foundation of Calhoun County has promoted Eula M. Tatman to Vice President. Mrs. Tatman has worked with the Foundation for seven years as the director of grants and programs. As Vice President, Mrs. Tatman will have the administrative responsibility over the grant and scholarship review process and more than 50 volunteers who serve on the Community Investment and Scholarship Committees. She will also direct the Foundation’s special initiatives.

Susan Waldron was promoted from manager to Director of Donor and Board Relations. She has been with the Foundation for more than three years. Ms. Waldron will supervise the internal operations including the distribution of approximately $1.3 million in annual donor grants and scholarships from 103 donor funds. She will also support the policy and governance duties of the Board of Trustees.

The Foundation has recruited Debbie Davis as Director of Finance. Ms. Davis is a certified public accountant with 12 years of experience. She is a graduate of Auburn University and the Mississippi College. Ms. Davis will supervise the Foundation’s financial operations, annual audit and investment performance. She will work closely with the Finance & Investment Committee, which oversees more than $22 million in assets.

The Community Foundation of Calhoun County is one of more than 750 community foundations in the United States. The Foundation assists area residents in establishing a charitable fund during their lifetime or leaving a permanent legacy to enhance the quality of life in our region. The Foundation has awarded more than $5.8 million dollars in grants and scholarships since 1999.
